You coordinate how products get examined against published figures, keep the paperwork honest, and make sure nothing in a review implies a CADR number that was never published. No lab coat required, rigour required.

What you will do

  • Coordinate product examinations and keep a written method for each one.
  • Track published figures, noise notes and filter costs per product, notes only, no live prices.
  • Flag any review copy that implies a rating the manufacturer never published.
  • Keep the review queue moving on a predictable cadence.

What we look for

  • Experience coordinating projects with several moving parts.
  • Precise written records, dated and findable.
  • Comfortable writing the honest version of a mediocre result.
  • Basic spreadsheet hygiene.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with air purifier specifications and filter categories.
  • Experience with consumer product testing or review workflows.

  • Comfort with a plain email tool, no elaborate templates required.
  • Reliability on send days.

You own the accuracy of everything we publish about sizing. Every page leans on the EPA published CADR figures, and your job is to keep our tables, calculator and guides in lockstep with that source of record. When a claim has no published figure behind it, you are the person who writes the refusal.

What you will do

  • Maintain the sizing tables and tool copy against the EPA source of record, with a retrieval date on every figure.
  • Review drafts before publication for invented numbers, implied ratings and coverage claims.
  • Keep the honest refusals current on every page where marketing implies a number nobody published.
  • Turn reader corrections into same-week edits, with a short note about what changed.

What we look for

  • Experience editing technical or scientific content for a general audience.
  • Comfortable reading a data table more carefully than a press release.
  • Clear written English and a taste for short sentences.
  • Able to say no to a claim that cannot be sourced, even a profitable one.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with indoor air quality terms such as CADR, MERV and HEPA.
  • Experience with structured content, tables or documentation systems.

Filter Replacement Guide Researcher

Filter replacement intervals are where marketing loves to invent numbers, and this site refuses to. You research what manufacturers and standards bodies actually publish, keep the quarterly refresh honest, and make sure every interval we mention is one somebody officially stated. Where nobody states one, the guide says so.

What you will do

  • Research published replacement guidance per filter category on the quarterly cycle.
  • Keep manufacturer statements quoted, dated and traceable inside the guide.
  • Flag intervals that appear in marketing but have no published basis.
  • Update the seasonal refresh pages on the quarterly cadence.

What we look for

  • Research patience: manuals, spec sheets and standards documents.
  • Careful quoting habits and a clean source log.
  • Able to write a short, clear summary of what you found.
  • Comfort with a quarterly rhythm and hard cutoffs.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with HEPA, MERV and activated carbon categories.
  • Experience maintaining a long-lived reference document.
