Privacy policy
The short read: this site collects almost nothing, sells nothing, and shows no ads until it can do so without tracking scripts.
What is collected
- Newsletter address, only if you type it in. Stored once, used for the briefs, deleted on unsubscribe.
- Affiliate click log, when a link through
/go/is used, the destination, the page it appeared on, and the browser's own referrer/user-agent string are logged. It answers “which pages earn”, nothing more. - Anonymous tool queries, the CADR tool logs which combination was looked up (particles/gases, portable/MERV, the area). No identifier of any kind is attached.
- Anonymous page-open pings, each article view sends one ping carrying the page slug and a random id kept in your browser's local storage. It only powers the “readers also viewed” list and the “most read” badge. It is not a cookie, is never shared, disappears when you clear site data, and rows older than 90 days are pruned from the log.
What is never done
- • No analytics profiles, no cross-site trackers, no advertising cookies.
- • No email addresses sold, rented, or “shared with partners”.
- • No bought or bot traffic is ever used to inflate numbers.
Third parties
Following an affiliate link takes you to Amazon under Amazon's privacy policy. This site receives an aggregate commission report, not your identity.
