The likely causes#

1. 1It is a fan, not a heater. Air moving across skin carries heat away faster, and evaporation adds to the chill. On high speed the effect is strongest. This is physics, not a malfunction.
2. 2The speed is higher than the room needs. A unit running flat out moves the most air and feels the coolest. If it exceeds the room's published minimum, step down to the lowest speed that still meets the row, the chill and the noise both ease.
3. 3It is winter, or the room is cool already. Cool room air moved quickly feels cooler still. The unit does not refrigerate anything; the outlet is room-temperature air with momentum.
4. 4A heat mode exists and is being confused with the purifier. Combination units with a heating function are two appliances in one case, controlled separately. If yours has a heat mode, the manual treats it, and rates it, separately from the air cleaning.

Why moving air feels cold#

Two ordinary effects are at work. Moving air strips away the warm layer that sits against skin, so the same room feels cooler where the outlet points. And moving air speeds evaporation, which takes heat with it. Neither involves the machine lowering the temperature of anything.

When it is the room, not the machine#

The chill complaint is often the first sign a unit is running above its room's needs, flat out, all night, in a space smaller than its rating. That is the sizing arithmetic upside down: the published minimum is a floor for the room, and a unit far above it can idle.

The lowest speed that still meets the published row is the right setting for sleep, quieter, gentler, and no less honest about the minimum.

When to stop troubleshooting#

Stop when you have confirmed the outlet air is room-temperature with momentum, because that is the design. There is no repair for convection.

If the outlet air feels genuinely colder than the room, not brisk but cold, or a heat mode will not heat, that is a manufacturer support conversation, inside the warranty window. The manual's description of the mode settles what it promises.
