It feels cold, so it must be a fault, except that moving air always feels cool, and a purifier is a fan wearing a filter. Almost every "blowing cold air" report ends with the same finding: the machine is working exactly as designed.

Two ordinary effects are at work. Moving air strips away the warm layer that sits against skin, so the same room feels cooler where the outlet points. And moving air speeds evaporation, which takes heat with it. Neither involves the machine lowering the temperature of anything.
